Happy New Year! (only a little early)
Welcome to String Lingo where it’s all about fiber with a “twist”! I have wanted to blog for quite some time and finally I have decided to just “do it!” I am a forty-something wife of 23 years and working mom of a 21 yr old boy and a 16 yr old girl! I was recently forced into a career change and after 20 years in one industry I lost a management position because the business closed. I have started over and in this economy consider myself very lucky to have found a good admin asst job with great benefits and a solid organization. I have been spinning since 2001 and loving it! I am more recently a knitter (out of necessity as I have too much yarn) and have just discovered weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom. This blog is for me to share my fiber journey but I also want your help! Let me know what you want to read about. I have plans so far for segments on Stress-free Spinning, Gnarly Knitting, Curious Crochet, Freaky Felt and my favorite upcoming spot–Yarn Pushers–this is where I will spotlight our favorite brick & mortar shops as well as our online enablers.
